About Me
About Me
Amanda is a brazilian multimedia artist, based between Ericera and Lisbon, Portugal. At her creative studio – Aurora - she brings three artistic expressions together: flowers, ceramics and poetry, in one form of creation.
Since childhood, Amanda has a natural connection with crafts. In her early adulthood she ran a flower studio in Brazil, creating floral arrangements for gifts and events.
Later on, alongside her development through practices as meditation and becoming a kundalini yoga teacher she develop the maturity to evolve in her artistic expression. At that time, she started to introduce ceramics as a new media in her work. It has become a grounding and expressive tool that refined as time passed by.
It’s said that the final stage of the healing journey is becoming an artist. Within the depth of her soul, Amanda finds the inspiration for her art. Through her sensitive perspective, she touches relevant themes as the body, culture and nature – creating sophisticated sculptural artpieces using ceramics, botanical compositions, and breathtaking installations.

The night may cast a long shadow but AURORA is the soft glow breaking over the horizon.It revels nuances of colors, shapes and textures. It beautifies the sky for the sun to arise.Aurora is a symbol of renewal, it promises us a new day and yet, all it reveals is this present moment. Between polarities – it finds a space of creation and freedom.
AURORA holds the wisdom of nature´s rhythms and the passing of time. As our artwork that exists to reconnect us with what is primal.
Clay, Flowers and Poetry intertwine in a pure expression of the feminine force of creativity. It evokes emotions, sensibility and new perceptions. Reminding us that we are essentially human, and what we experience embodies the full spectrum of existence. It can be vulnerable and powerful, sensual and political at the same time.
